Jeff and Pedro are first class. I always felt confident that they had my safety in mind. The logistics were a breeze so I had to do nothing in that regard. Combine this with his laid back approach and you have an excellent mountain guide

» History:
A century before the Spanish conquest the Incas moved south into Chile, crossing the Atacama Desert. The colonial period is marked by vicious wars with the native Mapuches tribe, natural disasters, and internal conflicts between landowners and the church. 1810 saw the start of a 7 year war to gain independence, and since independence Chile’s land has increased both northwards and southwards. Chile’s most renowned president is General Pinochet, who is accused of human rights violations in Chile during the 1980s.
» Chile Today:
Chile is one of South America’s wealthiest countries, with a stable economy. There is also less racial diversity than in other South American countries.
