Ancohuma (6427m) is the second highest peak in the Cordillera Real and is located directly next to Illampu in the Sorata Massif. The climbing includes mixed snow and rock, before taking the ridge line to the summit. The actual height of this mountain is widely debated, with some scientists believing it is over 7000m, therefore making this the highest mountain in the Andes and outside of the Himalayas.
