![]() The Condoriri Massif consists of 13 different peaks, requiring different abilities to climb them. The highest of these peaks is the Cabeza del Cóndor at 5648m, and one of the most demanding peaks in the massif. Cabeza del Condor is also known as Condoriri and is the Matterhorn of Bolivia. This programme includes Cabeza del Cóndor, and another popular mountain: Pequeño Alpamayo (5370m), but it is possible to climb other mountains in the massif such as Piramide Blanca (5230m) or Illusion (5330m). Although the summits are not as high as other mountains in Bolivia, the mix of terrains and skills needed will make for unforgettable experience.

Day 1: La Paz (3600m) – Lago Tuni (4000m) – Condoriri Base camp (4600m) A two hour drive from La Paz to Lago Tuni, and then a short walk past Lake Titikaka (3810m) and up to the base camp for Condoriri, where we will have our first views of Cabeza del Cóndor and Las Alas (The Wings), the rock formation that gave the mountain its name. Day 2: Condoriri – Pequeño Alpamayo (5370m) – Condoriri An early start in the morning for the accent of Pequeño Alpamayo, after only an hour of walking we will reach a glacier. Here we will need to put our crampons on, and head up the glacier. First we have to climb Mt Tarija (4200m) a smaller peak in front of Pequeño Alpamayo. The last 100m of climbing if good fun with views of Huayna Potosi (6088m). Same route back down. Day 3: Condoriri A rest day in the beautiful base camp of Condoriri. Day 4: Condoriri – Cabeza del Cóndor (5648m) – Condoriri After climbing up over a scree slope we will move over the glacier towards the Cabeza. We will follow the ridge the rest of the way up to the summit, where we will have a short break before taking the same route back to Condoriri. Day 5: Condoriri – Lago Tuni – La Paz We will walk the same way out of the park, and meet the transport at Lago Tuni, before heading back to La Paz.
