![]() On this trip you will see vastly different scenery, from the bleak Salar de Uyuni to the stunning and different colored lakes found in the region. This is a very remote part of Bolivia, and very beautiful. There is also a great opportunity of seeing wildlife, including flamingos and vicunas.

Day 1: La Paz (3600m) – Jirira (3670m) We will pick you up from your hotel and drive southeast of La Paz, initially heading up into El Alto and then across the Altiplano (4000m). We will pass through Oruro. Along the way we will make some stops, one place will be at a carter, and from here we can see Volcano Tunupa (5432m) in the distance. Jirira is right on the edge of the Salar de Uyuni and at the base of Volcano Tunupa
Day 2: Jirira – Isla de Incahuasi – San Pedro de Quemez (3680m)
Today has to be one of our most spectacular, were cross the Salar de Uyuni. Visiting Isla Incahuasi, were you can take a walk around the island. We will stop for lunch here, so there's plenty of time to take photos of this natural wonder. After lunch we continue onto La Gruta de Galaxias, a strange formation of rock inside a cave.
Day 3: San Quemez – Laguna Colorada (4278m)
Our drive today we pass lots of lakes with different colors and we can see a variety of wild life including Flamencos. Driving through the valleys of this arid area we can see rock formations with colors of reds, yellows and whites, along the way we pass Arbol de Piedra. In this area we see the growing of Quina, a native cereal grown in this region which is very high in protein. Following more dusty roads we enter National park Eduardo Avaroa.
Day 4: Laguna Colorada (4278m) – Laguna Verde (4400m) – Uyuni (3656m)
Today we make an early start to visit Sol de Manana Geyser and then onto laguna verde at the base of Volcano Licancabur (5916m). On the way back we will stop at Tremas de Polques for breakfast. We pass Villa mar a small village here we can ancient rock art and old Inca tombs. Next stop is Villa Lota and then onto San Cristobal were they moved the church stone by stone to its new location to make room for the new mine. Last stop for the day is at the old train cemetery. Day 5: Uyuni (3656m) – La Paz (3700m)
We start our day with our first stop at the salt hotel. Nearby we will see the salt extraction and processing. We then have a long drive back to La Paz, with a lunch stop at Challapampa. Before the last stretch to La Paz.
